Common Tariffs
The law provides that for particular uses, only the collective management organisationsThere are five collective management organisations (CMOs) in Switzerland for authors' and related rights: ProLitteris, SSA, Suissimage, SUISA, SWISSPERFORM approved by the State may grant authorisations or manage remuneration right for the benefit of creators. This is then subject to common tariffs of all collecting societies, which are subject to state supervision and which also apply to the distribution of royaltiesRemuneration for authors' rights collected by the collecting societies.
