In the year of its 40th anniversary, SSA can proudly report its excellent achievements:
- Rights collections exceeded the 30-million-francs threshold for the first time (+3.9%).
- Expenditure levels remained stable at 9.96% (+0.13 percentage points) and thus stayed at a historically low level thanks to effective cost control.
- Stage performing rights reached the highest level in SSA’s history (CHF 5,953,388, +11.54%).
- The radio and TV broadcasting rights remained stable while the revenue for video-on-demandMeans of communication in digital networks allowing the user to access audiovisual works of a provider from digital databases from anywhere, at any point in time. Compared to pay-per-view and near-on-video-on-demand, the offer is not linked to any chronological order determined by a programme. This procedure requires temporary reproduction of data on various technical media. rights increased (+19.87%).
- A supplementary agreement signed with the SRG SSR will boost more broadcasts of animated works aimed at (very) young audiences in 2026.
- SSA pays its members and sister organisations on a monthly basis. Payouts rose by 12.21% and thus reached CHF 25.095 million.
- In the 2025 financial year, CHF 1.387 million was allocated to the cultural funds and CHF 988k to the social funds.
- 204 authors were supported with means from the cultural funds.
- SSA was strongly committed to the referendum campaign against the “200 francs is enough” initiative, which aimed to reduce funding for public service media, with detrimental consequences for Swiss cultural production and its visibility.
- General Terms and Conditions for the management of and collection for stage performances were finalised; they will take effect from the 2026/2027 theatrical performance season.
- Discussions on artificial intelligence are taking shape, both in terms of a potential legislative framework and adjustments to be made to individual authors’ contracts. SSA has declared that it is exercising its right to object to the unauthorised use of its repertoireEntirety of works of a certain administration category.
- New instruments formalise SSA’s good corporate governance.
- Joyous celebrations were held on the occasion of SSA’s 40th anniversary at the form of a gala in November 2025.
